Land Mattress.

The Mattress was a rocket launch system intitionally intended to support landing actions. Rows of Mattress Projectors were loaded into landing craft and warships to soften up defencive positions on the beach.

The design was later fitted on to wheeled carriages for land use by British and Canadian forces, particularly to support the crossing of the Rhine and Scheldt rivers.

This version is based on the Meyer-Dunford version of the launcher carriage which appears to be the most common in use during the war.

The models is provided with most rockets loaded, with additional rocket heads to fill out the tubes and some loose whole rockets for your crew to hold or to add to a display base.
